Argentina’s Capital, Buenos Aires, is one of the largest
cities in the world. Gateway to the country, with all its
cosmopolitan charm. In its extension from Jujuy to Tierra
del Fuego, the mountain chain displays the marvellous contrasts
of its landscapes: from the high plateau in the Northwest,
to the region of lakes, forests and glaciers in Patagonia’s
Andes. Mesopotamia, in the province of Misiones, has cracks
that result in spectacular phenomena like Iguazú Waterfalls.
In the centre of Argentina, the Pampa region is the most extensive
plain. This landscape is interrupted to the south by the small
Tandil and La Ventana sierras and to the west, by Córdoba’s
sierras. Towards the South, from the Andes to the sea, there
are Patagonia plateaus, lashed by the winds for a great part
of the year. The Atlantic coastal region, bordered by high
cliffs, draws winding shapes, like Valdés Península,
with its impressive sea animal colonies. |
