MOLIERE IN BUENOS AIRES

Premier in San Martín Theater, “Las Mujeres Sabias de Molière”

In this play of 1672, Molière portrays a world of women obsessed by
the advances of science that claim to know in depth, but that they know nothing about. Through this satire, the author criticizes the pretentious literary and the ladies of his time, as well as the hypocrisy prevailing in the society in which he lived.

In this acid comedy, the affectation and arrogance of the “wise women” Armanda, Filaminta and Belisa, and they main reference, the “scholar” Trissotin, contrast with the simplicity of Enriqueta and her lover, Clitandro, whose sole aim is to marry and enjoy their love, or also contrast with Crisalo, more concerned with satisfying his gluttony that by cultivating his spirit.

On Friday May 30th at 8.00 PM, will premiere at the hall “Martín
Coronado” of the “San Martín Theatre” (Corrientes Avenue
1530), “Las Mujeres Sabias de Molière”, version and direction
  of Willy Landin.

Protection to foreign consumers. Air tickets and hotels.

A new law in Buenos Aires…

A new law in Argentina will protect the consumer from now on, with the prices of the services and products destined for foreign tourism. This will avoid the differentiated prices for tourists, usually a bit more expensive than for local consumers.

The 8th bis article specifies respect of the air tickets, granting protection to the tourist as a consumer. From now on, all the passengers local and foreign tourists will pay the same price.

The argument of “Defensa de usuarios y consumidores” (DEUCO) -Entity of Defense for Users and Consumers- is that “… there can not be discriminatory prices for a foreign visitor due to the inequality that this implies…”

Also, Guillermo Lavallen of the Hotels of Tourism Asociation (AHT) clarified that they are putting in practice this policy for some years, and the differentiation made was necessary in the 2001-2002 crisis.
