MOLIERE IN BUENOS AIRES
Premier in San MartÃn Theater, “Las Mujeres Sabias de MoliÚre”
In this play of 1672, MoliÚre portrays a world of women obsessed by
the advances of science that claim to know in depth, but that they know nothing about. Through this satire, the author criticizes the pretentious literary and the ladies of his time, as well as the hypocrisy prevailing in the society in which he lived.
In this acid comedy, the affectation and arrogance of the “wise women” Armanda, Filaminta and Belisa, and they main reference, the “scholar” Trissotin, contrast with the simplicity of Enriqueta and her lover, Clitandro, whose sole aim is to marry and enjoy their love, or also contrast with Crisalo, more concerned with satisfying his gluttony that by cultivating his spirit.
On Friday May 30th at 8.00 PM, will premiere at the hall “MartÃn
Coronado” of the âSan MartÃn Theatreâ (Corrientes Avenue
