Buenos Aires Ecological Reserve.

Ecological Reserve

After read and comment a note about National Parks and Ecological Reserves, I realized there is no necessary to move away from the Capital for appreciate something of this style.

A few blocks from the smoke, noise and traffic, a natural park of 350 hectares is home to native vegetation, with more than 250 species of birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and 50 varieties of butterflies.

Highs grasslands coexist with ceibos, creoles willows, cattails and reeds, giving rise to animals that live in the interior gaps. Some animal species are otters, cuis, weasel, lizard, different species of snakes and Zarzal frogs.

Previously was a beach but in 1986 was declared Ecological Reserve.

You can take guided tours or guided by maps that are delivered free of charge at the entrance.

There are two panoramic views, the “Circuito de la Laguna de los Patos” and the “Circuito de los Rios,” you can make walking or cycling and takes between two and four hours.

From the trails of the Ecological Reserve, you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the city of Buenos Aires and seeing the new buildings and apartments in Puerto Madero.
