Argentina North to South.

Part II

After all this northern tour, mark our course towards the south or to the “Patagonia“, stick to the mountain, we will arrive to the city of San Carlos de Bariloche. Between this city and Salta we have more than 2400 kilometers where there are several cities and provinces to visit with very nice places like in San Juan the “Valley of the Moon”, “Las Leñas” in Mendoza, and so on. But here I am trying to mark the places that we believe it can not be miss.

In Bariloche, we have to visit several hills, including the “Cathedral”, the “Otto”, the “Tronador” volcano and appreciate the lakes as the “Nahuel Huapi.” We can also go to Villa la Angostura or until “El Bolson”, two towns located at approx. 100 km with an incredibly beautiful mountain range surrounded by mountains, forests and lakes. You can not leave without having tried the handmade chocolates.

Then head towards one of our last largest city to visity in Argentina. Calafate located in the province of Santa Cruz approximately 2000 kilometers south of Bariloche and from here you can visit the famous “Perito Moreno” glacier. They say you can not you go to Calafate without having tested the “Patagonian lamb” and the sweet fruit mermelade.

To conclude our Argentinean tour we will go the city of Ushuaia, the most southern of the world, is also called “the end of the world” or “the beginning of everything” a beautiful city that combines mountains, sea, forest and glacier. Here you can try the spider crab, see the old wooden houses, navigate the Beagle Canal, or visit the old Presidio.

Thousands of tourists come to stay in Buenos Aires only to see this super - classic match than it can be missed, every season.

This Oct. 19 will host a new Argentinean super classic match, the two largest teams of Argentina will face again, this time in the stadium of River the “Monumental” and for the “Torneo Apertura 2008”.

This event is so spectacular and exciting, is being said out there that “you can not die without see the super - classic.” Not only because the lesson of these two football teams but for the spectacle offered by the “hinchas” and the “cantitos” the fans sing making a mockery toward the other and demonstrating the great rivalry.

As for the history while Boca has 22 titles River has 34 and is the club that was more titles in Argentina but Boca has 18 international titles and River only 5.

Argentina from North to South.

Part I

Surely, many have thought they know Argentina, but they do not decided witch places of our country are going to visits. I have been luckly enought to know several points of the country and I think I can recommend 6 places or tourist areas that can not be missing.

Lets take as a starting point; Buenos Aires, where key locations are: “Caminito” famoust street of the tango in the neighborhood of La Boca, Recoleta Cemetery, the Forests of Palermo, the “Manzanas de las Luces” in San Telmo, Plaza de Mayo, and so on. Do not miss a lunch in Puerto Madero, a walk down the Florida street or a tango show. Take advantage of the wide variety of accommodations in Buenos Aires, for every style hotels, apartments, apart-hotels, bed and breakfast, and so on.

Then we go towards the northeast of Argentina, more accurate to the city of Iguazu in Misiones province where you can visit the Iguassu Falls and take hiking tours in contact with the missionary jungle. Yu can found on this website www.iguazujunglexplorer.com other jungle tours.

After the visit to Misiones we continue our way to the northwestern of Argentina. In Jujuy, “La Puna”, which includes a vast salt fields, with a surface similar to the lunar full of harmony and unforgettable sensations; we also have small towns like Purmamarca where you found the famous hill of the seven colors, and the Quebrada de Humahuaca a place in heaven declared “world heritage”.

In Salta you can make the journey on the “Tren de la Nuves” which is one of the highest in the world and you can appreciate the scenery beyond belief, we can also enjoy the small settlement of Cafayate in the mountainous surroundings, and to completed it can not fail the city of Salta, on the cliff “Balderrama” where you can appreciate native food, music and folk dancing.

Tripit Is really easy to use. The user sent by email their travel plans : flights, accomodations, tours, etc. TripIt and it generates a general schedule which includes a map from the city destination, weather information, street, restaurants recommended.
The web have an attractive look and feel, and an easy turorial with some additional resources like the tripit movil that allows to recibe the information. They also have a corporative blog with aditional update information.
We do not accept each and every vendor of flights, hotels, etc., that exist in the market. But they will include most of them soon.

BUENOS AIRES (Ezeiza), Argentina

The airport is situated at Ezeiza, 35km (21 miles) southwest of Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires has 2 Airports, One for Domestic Flights (Aeroparque - AEP) and otherone for the International flights (Ezeiza - EZE). The distance between the 2 airports is 40 Km.

A ride form Ezeiza to Downtow takes around 1 hour and from Aeroparque 25 minutes. There are two information desks. One is located on the ground floor of Terminal A and it is open 24 hours and the other one is on the ground floor of Terminal B and it is open from 0530 until the last flight. Courtesy telephones are situated around the terminal, with a direct link to the information desk. The airport has a 24-hour information line, which also provides information for the Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (internal flights) (tel: (011) 5480 6111).

Customer service representatives from Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 are available to provide assistance and information; they are easily recognisable by their uniform. Tourist information desks are located in Terminal A Arrivals and in the baggage reclaim hall of Terminal B Arrivals. Travelers have the option of several restaurants, bars and retail stores. Services available to travelers in the airport include banks, currency exchange counters, ATMs and a post office. Terminal A houses two pharmacies, a medical center and the left-luggage office.
